102 - Self-Forgiveness on Success

Day 102 - Self-Forgiveness on Success

Success and failure were not properly taught to us as kids.

Success was about 'me me me' and failure was a thing to be avoided. This is so backwards. Real success is being my best and helping others do the same.

And then learning how to navigate the world to be part of GENUINELY improving the world

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that I can forgive myself

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to resist forgiving myself

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to want to take the ‘easy way’ instead of the best way

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that the successful version of me, the one who achieves goals, honors commitments and makes real change happen, that this version of myself is already within me as a seed, but its covered up by limiting beliefs and patterns, that I can actually forgive myself for accepting and allowing

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to cloud my mind with images of success, and not realize that it must be GROUNDED in reality, so I can build from firm foundation

I forgive myself that I have NOT accepted and allowed myself to trust myself to speak out more and more self-forgiveness as a way to let ME really come through

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to limit my own creative abilities through participating in my mind’s acceptances and allowances

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize the simplicity of taking a breath, walking forward as my next step in the journey and trusting the process

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to make my success only based in self-interest, instead of realizing that real success means being the tide that raises all ships

I realize that only I can help myself actually forgive, actually live my realizations and my commitments. Nobody can do it for me

I realize that others have broken through, have figured out how to walk the journey of success and make it to achieve a better life

I realize that my success was built on faulty definitions and illusions and I can actually forgive myself and the definitions I have allowed, and calibrate myself to understand what success truthfully means

I commit myself to show that success is showing up daily

I commit myself to recognize success in a simple statement of self forgiveness

I commit myself to make my goals be in alignment with my best life

I commit myself to live my life in a way where I can honestly be proud of what I do and who I become

I commit myself to get better at forgiving myself daily, at realizing my next steps daily, and at committing myself to the best course of action

I commit myself to create relationships around me grounded in real effective support to help me reach my genuine goals I set for myself

101 - Chaos, Randomness and Getting Unstuck (Thought Experiment)

Have you ever heard of Buridan’s Donkey?

This was developed by a French philosopher, who actually came up with the idea of “thought experiment.”

Think of this as your intellectual espresso shot for the day

The butterfly of the “butterfly effect” (you’ll get this by the end)

There’s a thought experiment where a donkey is standing exactly halfway between a pile of food and a
bucket of water.

Equally hungry. Equally thirsty.

No reason to go one way over the other.

So he stands there.

And dies.

Not because he’s weak. Not because he’s broken.

Two impulses in conflict. STUCK

Because nothing new entered his world to tip the scale.

Now picture a second donkey.

Same setup. Same paralysis.

Stuck in his programming - glitching back and forth between this thing and that thing

Unable to will himself in either direction.

Then a butterfly drifts past his nose.

Doesn’t do much. Just grazes by.

But it jolts him ever so slightly to the left.

And he walks to the water.

And NOW he can hydrate and go get food after.

That butterfly saved his life

That butterfly is what we know as the butterfly effect. 🦋

A tiny injection of randomness.

An outside stimulus.

Chaos from somewhere unexpected.

It didn’t fix his programming.

It didn’t require willpower.

It just got him into movement.

That’s what being stuck actually looks like.

Glitching and looping ♾️

Just no new information entering the system.

The fix isn’t grinding harder inside the same loop.

It’s the butterfly.

This is why I have books on my shelf from different domains

This is why I surround myself with people who helped me cross pollinate ideas

This is why every week I host events and attend events with people from all walks of life

A conversation.

A reframe.

An idea you’ve never had before.

Something genuinely new that enters your world and jolts you ever so slightly off center.

That’s all it takes to get into motion.

The donkey doesn’t need more discipline.

He needs a butterfly.

So do you.
